Job Description

Full time, permanent role based at Lewisham NSW Annual gross salary $72,000 + superannuation Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham is an independent Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition catering for boys from Years 5-12. A recent accord with Atalanta BC, one of the most reputable youth development clubs in Europe, has created a foundation to build a football development program at the school. For this we seek a Football Director who can develop and drive the program. In this role you will deliver and oversee an effective coaching programme for players aged 10 – 18. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of the players through innovative planning, delivery and management of training sessions and match days. The Football Director must work in collaboration with the coaches and directors of Atalanta BC. The Technical Director will: Develop a long-term vision of the player development and its implementation, aligned to the school’s strategy and in collaboration with Atalanta BC. Manage all aspects of the academy including identifying coaches and players, assisting coaches with the development of age appropriate training plans, providing frequent support, feedback and review opportunities to create an environment and culture for maximising the potential of players. Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all coaches, school leadership group and various school departments involved in the football program. Establish and implement new satellite programs with a focus on developing players within the school system. To be successful in this role you will have: A passion for the game of soccer Experience in developing and mentoring coaches in a formal capacity Youth Coaching experience at elite level FA Pro License or UEFA Pro Licence preferred An understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice Application Process Applications (including cover letter and resume) should be addressed to the Principal, Dr. Michael Blowes and sent to Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham is committed to ensuring the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people.
