About This Opportunity Are you an AI/ML engineer who enjoys building end-to-end AI solutions that solve real-world problems? Do you thrive at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, and MLOps? Are you passionate about deploying cutting-edge Gen AI and LLM-based applications? If the answer is “yes,” then we want to hear from you! This position is based in Sydney, Australia. What You Will Do - Job Responsibilities End-to-End AI Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI applications by integrating machine learning models into production environments. ML Model Development & Deployment: Build, fine-tune, and deploy AI/ML models, including GenAI, LLMs, transformers, and deep learning models. Implement robust MLOps best practices, including model monitoring, versioning, and deployment using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, and H2O ML Ops. Develop custom LLMs, apply fine-tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, RAG, and model guardrails for responsible AI applications. Deploy AI/ML models on AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-premise environments, ensuring efficient and scalable AI infrastructure. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams (data engineers, DevOps, and product managers) to understand business needs and deliver AI solutions effectively. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, including end-to-end model development and deployment. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc. H2O.ai is a plus. Experience with full-stack AI application development, including backend APIs and frontend integration. Understanding of Gen AI, LLMs, and NLP techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex AI/ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. In-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms and experience applying GenAI/ML to solve real-world problems, including deployment of end-to-end ML pipelines. Interest in Generative AI and Large Language Models like Prompt Engineering, RAG, LLMOps, and making custom LLM models, fine-tuning, etc., and guardrails. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Why H2O.ai?
