Position: Full-Time Multi-Unit Registered Nurse Region: Huron and Perth Description: POSITION POSTING # L24-119POSITION: Registered NurseUNIT: Obstetrical Unit and Med/Surgical DepartmentSTATUS: Full-Time, Multi-Unit Modified 2D2N (includes float shifts), Home Base OBSTART DATE: February 3, 2025SALARY RANGE: As per ONA salary scalePosition Summary: The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with patients, physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.Required Qualifications: Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University Minimum one year experience in maternal newborn nursing Fetal Health Surveillance Maternal Child Course equivalent Breast Feeding Course NRP Certification BCLS Certification ACLS Certification Working knowledge of Cerner software computer applications information system and related peripheral hardware preferred Preferred Qualifications: ACORN / STABLE or equivalent PALS/ENCP Certification Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias Certification 15 Lead ECG Interpretation Certification Position-Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Ability to organize, problem solve, critical thinking and decision making. Demonstrated application of role in Code situation (ex. Code Blue). Communicates with patients, families, physicians, staff and community partners. Observing and recording patient behavior. Evaluates patient outcomes. Competent operation of medical equipment. Performing diagnostic tests within scope of practice Safely Administering medications and treatments.
