Base pay range A$170,000.00/yr - A$190,000.00/yr Our client is one of Australia’s leading commercial real estate debt and investment specialists. They focus on providing investment management and loan origination services to superannuation funds, sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors, as well as to high-net-worth individuals and family offices across the globe. They are seeking an experienced and high-performing individual to join their fund accounting team in Melbourne. You will play a pivotal role in leading the Fund Accounting team and perform effective oversight and efficient monitoring of external service providers. About the role Service Delivery Oversight of deliverables for all Funds, SPVs and Institutional Mandates on a timely and accurate basis. Ensure accuracy and oversight of unit pricing on a monthly basis. Ensure processes are optimised and efficient with adequate level of controls and review. Liaise with auditors and service providers regarding preparation and audit of annual financial statements. Service Provider Management Monitor performance of the external fund administrator compared with SLAs. Input into Steering Committee meetings with Service Providers. Team Management Lead the team by example, set expectations and hold people accountable to behaving in line with the values. Regularly communicate with the team to influence engagement and awareness of important priorities and key initiatives. About the candidate A Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. Accounting, Commerce) or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Commerce, Finance, Business). 5-10 years’ experience gained within Investment Accounting from a Funds Management or Custody background. Advanced Excel, communication, and leadership skills.
