About our team The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Section supports the automation of business process management (BPM) for the Department of Home Affairs via the delivery of ICT business solutions on enterprise-wide strategic platforms. These strategic Pega Platforms for Home Affairs facilitate the streamlining and automation of repeatable business activities, allowing staff to reallocate their time to perform more valuable tasks. The Section achieves its goals and delivers on its objectives through: The establishment and ongoing management of strategic enterprise-wide platforms for the Department The delivery of enterprise capability (applications) to support strategic business solutions along with the provision of technical support for the applications and platforms The promotion of enterprise-wide quality engineering through Pega Best Practice design guidance and Pega Design and Development reviews via the Pega Quality & Enablement Centre of Excellence The development of internal capability and provision of training and enablement for the Pega community across the Department - building a network of skilled APS Pega resources internally and supporting overall capability across government. Our ideal candidate The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Junior Platform Support Officer provides administrative and platform support to the EBS section. This includes administrative support tasks, supporting Business As Usual (BAU) and platform activities. They are required to complete allocated tasks within required timeframes and produce work that is subject to close monitoring and checking by more senior staff. Duties and responsibilities Undertake general administrative support tasks under supervision and any other duties as directed. Perform straightforward computer operations. Conduct routine searches and update basic information using computer-based tools. Assist with maintaining EBS section registers in records management systems e.g. distributions lists, contact lists, and allocate workstations with accommodation updates, IT assets and asset management. Assist in supporting the BAU Delivery Manager with the below activitiesChange support requests and activities Change management and Platform support administrative tasks Raise changes for the non-production environments to support development and testing activities.
