GDLP Student or Graduate Lawyer / Junior Lawyer (0-2 years PAE) Port Adelaide Lawyers is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GDLP student or graduate lawyer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional at the start of their career to gain valuable experience across multiple practice areas, including Criminal Law, Family Law, Property Law, Wills and Estates, and Victims of Crime. The graduate lawyer role will primarily focus on Family Law and Victims of Crime, offering exposure to complex and impactful legal matters. The role is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our Port Adelaide office working under the support and mentorship of our principal lawyer. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal support across a variety of practice areas, with a focus on Family Law and Victims of Crime. Assist with legal research, client communications, drafting legal documents, and preparing case files. Attend to clients’ needs with professionalism, ensuring high-quality service at all times. Ensure all tasks are completed with attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and handle time-sensitive matters. The Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in law or admitted to practise law in Australia, or soon to be admitted to practise in Australia. Has completed or is currently undertaking their GDLP, or with less than 2 years post-admission experience. Demonstrates a commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical obligations. Strong literacy and computer proficiency skills. Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when necessary. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work autonomously. Exhibits resilience and a high level of empathy, understanding the significant impact legal issues have on individuals' lives.
