They provide support and strategic advice across the department regarding a range of DHS goals, systems and processes. Role Details The Geographic Information System (GIS) Officer is a role within Business Improvement Technology and is accountable to the Business Intelligence Lead for: the promotion and development of use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as an effective business analytic tool developing and maintaining high quality information and reporting solutions using Business Intelligence and analytics tools providing advice on the use of GIS data in the creation of reporting solutions which meet business needs and are technically sound working closely with key business users to identify and develop solutions the development of end-user reports, systems and tools using Microsoft BI Solutions.
