About the role Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Gifts in Wills Manager will spearhead the strategic vision for securing and stewarding legacy gifts, ensuring the long-term sustainability of Lort Smith. This pivotal role will drive the growth of a robust Gifts in Wills pipeline through a multi-channel strategy focused on acquiring new supporters and fostering strong relationships with existing ones. Collaborating closely with the philanthropy team, the incumbent will deliver valuable insights and reporting to support financial planning and guide the program’s future growth. Currently a standalone position, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and expand the portfolio into a dedicated team. About you You are an accomplished philanthropy manager with a proven track record of successfully managing and expanding Gifts in Wills programs through multichannel marketing, relationship fundraising, and data-driven insights. Your expertise in crafting and delivering high-impact strategies to key stakeholders is complemented by significant experience in the animal welfare or health sectors. Proficient in CRM systems, ideally Raiser’s Edge, you understand the critical role of data in shaping effective strategies. With exceptional communication skills and a strategic, analytical mindset, you excel at identifying philanthropic trends and opportunities, ensuring success in this vital role for one of Melbourne’s most beloved charities.
