The opportunity Due to an influx in workload, the Technology and Analytics capability within Lewis Woolcott is seeking to grow its talented team of experts with an additional GIS Developer based in our Brisbane office. We implement platforms that support information-driven strategies and systems using Geo Spatial mapping to help optimise and protect client organizations. With a growing team of GIS Developers, Software Developers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Specialists, and Analytics Professionals, Lewis Woolcott is devoted to helping its clients become truly Data Driven and digital in an ever-changing, ever-progressing world. As a GIS Developer, your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and maintain LW’s SMART product. Create custom tools and applications to meet specific clients’ needs. Provide technical support and training in GIS software, database creation and use. Perform complex GIS analyses as required. Research and recommend new technologies and processes to meet the business and client needs for GIS. Skills And Attributes for Success Will Include: Experience with developing custom tools and applications for specific needs using ArcGIS and Mapbox APIs (3+ years). Experience working in AWS. Experience with Geoserver and other open-source GIS platforms (ideally 2+ years). Configuration and coordination of GIS enterprise technology and databases, including Postgres for GIS. Ideally, you will also have: Experience in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients. Experience in a delivery role on Spatial Analytics, Remote Sensing, and Business Intelligence projects. Experience with Agile project management disciplines. Experience using GIT for Source Code Management and Version Controlling. Experience with PowerBI or other reporting and dashboarding tools. Exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills. A passion for learning other programming languages.
