We are seeking an experienced Insurance Broker to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing group known for its client-focused approach and exceptional service delivery.As a General Insurance Broker, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with securing tailored insurance solutions and driving the growth of the business. This role is ideal for an experienced Insurance Broker that is interested in having equity in a business and leading/growing a team. Equity: Opportunity to buy in and have equity in the business. Clients: Existing clients and new client leads provided, warm referrals from internal teams. Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver a high-level client experience for existing clients and new business prospects. Manage and grow an existing book of SME and Corporate clients from a wide range of industries. Actively work with management to identify and convert new business opportunities. Provide technical advice, risk management solutions and expert claims advice (claims can be managed by our Claims Relationship Manager). Develop, deliver and maintain tailored insurance programs. Negotiate risk transfer/management solutions based on a client’s individual profile and requirements. Build and nurture productive, trusting and lasting relationships with insurers, referrers and other key business partners. Overall management of client and portfolio profitability. Contribute to the strategic direction of the business. Assist with mentoring and developing staff. Develop relationships with internal teams such as accounting and financial planning to service client referrals. About You: Interested in equity and a leadership position. A client-first attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and advice. A proactive and motivated self-starter who takes initiative, ownership, and accountability. A strong technical understanding of general insurance products, including Financial Lines. Flare for new business development. Team mentality. Tier 1 in Insurance Broking Qualification is essential and pathways to completing your Diploma will be implemented (if required). Excellent time management and organisational skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and key stakeholders. A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management. 5+ years’ experience in General Insurance Broking managing your own portfolio (previous experience with General Insurance Underwriting and Claims Management will also be considered for individuals with the right attributes). Salary is flexible depending on experience, circa $120,000 - $150,000 + super + bonus and equity opportunities.
