Full Time, Permanent Opportunity About the Opportunity Our City Operations team is looking for a new team member to join as a General Labourer– Infrastructure Maintenance. As part of the team, some of the day-to-day things you will see yourself carrying out may include: Carrying out basic labouring duties that deliver civil construction and maintenance projects like roads, stormwater and footpath infrastructure. Driving a truck may be required within these duties. Assisting with basic measurements and calculations related to daily operations and materials ordering. Assisting with administrative processes including daily administrative documentation. To be successful in this role, you will have: Working knowledge of the safe operation of specialised machinery used in the construction and maintenance industry. Practical knowledge of the fundamental nature of construction practices, products and techniques employed in the construction and maintenance of civil / municipal infrastructure including experience with asphalt. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups. A Certificate III in Civil Construction or demonstrated experience within the civil construction and maintenance industry.
