The College is a not-for-profit organisation that represents more than 8600 surgeons and 1300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates. RACS also supports healthcare and surgical education in the Asia-Pacific region and is a substantial funder of surgical research. About the role In this role, you will provide leadership and management of both the AMC Accreditation compliance requirements and RACS Hospital Training Post (HTP) accreditation. In addition, you are responsible for the Rural Health Equity Strategy and ensuring education excellence by implementing research projects to ensure the quality improvement of all educational programs, standards and competencies as part of the monitoring and evaluation framework for the surgical training programs. You will also provide high-level administration of the research scholarships that support advancements in surgical research. Skills and Experience A relevant postgraduate qualification with research experience, and extensive relevant experience Experience conducting program evaluations High level analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop, promulgate, and implement initiatives Experience in people management and conflict resolution Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, and to work independently and with limited direction Experience with research scholarships and funding submissions Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to present, persuade, advocate, negotiate and motivate and prepare correspondence, reports and briefs Possess initiative and ability to work effectively in a team across a range of projects and to contribute to the organisation at a broader level Experience in a service environment or a background within a health, education or membership organisation would be highly advantageous At our organisation, we are proud to have a positive impact on improving health outcomes in the community.
