The Opportunity The General Manager, Finance – Retail’s role is to partner with the business Executive General Manager level to provide meaningful insights on the portfolio of assets (both Stabilised Assets and those in Development) within the sector. You will lead a best-in-class property finance team, underpinned by robust KPIs, ensuring a strong governance and controls framework is adopted for both reporting of actuals and forecasting and data analysis and insights are delivered to support sound commercial decision-making. You will make an impact by: Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing team of property and finance professionals. Business Partnering: Collaborate with various stakeholders to provide insights for decision-making and business growth. Performance Management: Achieve financial targets and maximise sector profit. Risk & Compliance: Identify financial risks and ensure adherence to governance and compliance processes. Modelling: Deliver accurate asset modelling for income, capital, and leasing. Financial Management: Oversee financial performance, reporting, and process improvements. Asset Planning: Supervise asset plan preparation with cross-functional teams. Budgeting & Forecasting: Ensure accurate and timely budget and forecast inputs. Analytics: Provide sector-level analytics and reporting. Development Finance: Oversee development finance team and maintain feasibility modelling. About You Tertiary qualification in finance, property, or a business-related discipline. Postgraduate qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred. Further studies in Property Investment or Development are beneficial. Strong background in property analytics, asset management, or finance. Experience with Yardi and TM1 preferred. Advanced understanding of property accounting processes and systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and customer retention skills. Proven leadership and team development abilities.
