SkyCity Adelaide is seeking an experienced General Manager Financial Crime (AMLCO) to join our team and lead the development of anti-money laundering/counter terrorism financing (AML/CTF) functions and practices at SkyCity Adelaide. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will align local AML/CTF efforts with broader group strategies, ensuring sustainable operational improvements. About the role SkyCity Adelaide is embarking on a significant transformation journey, and the General Manager Financial Crime (AMLCO) will play a critical role in shaping the future of our operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director - SkyCity Adelaide, this role ensures full compliance with all applicable anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws, regulations and internal policies, and forms part of our SkyCity Adelaide Leadership Team and wider Group Risk Team. This role is key to safeguarding the integrity of the gaming eco-system and protecting our customers, shareholders and communities from the risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing and will be accountable for the delivery of activities required to achieve desired AML/CTF compliance outcomes. Be part of an organisational transformation program designed to enhance regulatory compliance, cultural engagement, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing stakeholder relationships, including regular engagement with regulators and law enforcement agencies, the Independent Monitor, and other external partners, while providing timely updates to the Board and compliance committee on progress, risks, and opportunities. About you We are looking for a proven leader with extensive experience in AML compliance management, preferably within highly regulated industries. The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications as well as supporting ACAMS certifications (or equivalent), coupled with strong knowledge and understanding of the AML/CTF regulatory requirements in Australia. A background in cultural transformation, risk management, and regulatory compliance is essential. Experience in regulatory or financial crime remediation is highly desirable. Candidates will also possess proven experience in developing and leading complex teams, exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
