Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee our Marine Division. This role requires a hands-on leader with proven experience in maintaining, mobilizing, and operating cutter suction dredges in a marine environment. The successful candidate will have a solid track record in managing diverse teams and ensuring the smooth execution of dredging projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities : Manage the day-to-day operations of the Marine Division, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Oversee the mobilization and operation of cutter suction dredges and other dredging equipment. Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Coordinate logistics, resources, and personnel for projects across Australia, ensuring optimal project delivery. Implement and maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on all marine operations. Work closely with senior management to develop strategies for the growth and improvement of the Marine Division. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Provide regular reports and updates to management on project status and operational performance. Key Requirements : Extensive hands-on experience in mobilizing and operating cutter suction dredges in a marine environment. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams. Strong understanding of the technical, logistical, and safety challenges of dredging operations. Experience with project management, resource planning, and budgeting. Ability to travel Australia wide to oversee projects and support teams as needed. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, marine operations, or a related field (preferred).
