Add expected salary to your profile for insights An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and dynamic General Manager . Reporting to the CEO, and a key part of our Executive Team, this role will lead and inspire our Home Division including our multi award winning Barossa Mitre 10 Retail and Trade store, Barossa Betta and The Design Studio. Supported by a strong team, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the stores including leading our teams, delivering sales and profit targets, liaising with suppliers and inventory management. In addition, bring your entrepreneurial strengths to identify growth and new business opportunities supported by strong business plans. About Us Located within one hour’s drive from the Adelaide CBD, the Barossa Co-op is Australia’s largest and longest standing retail co-operative. With revenue of over $80MM, the Barossa Co-op owns and operates Barossa Central shopping centre, with over 30 specialty retailers and anchored by Barossa Fresh supermarket, ALDI and Cheap as Chips. The Barossa Co-op also operates important retail businesses including our Barossa Fresh supermarket, Mitre 10 Retail and Trade, The Design Studio, Barossa Betta, Intersport, Toyworld, Barossa Lifestyle including womenswear, menswear and homewares. About you Our successful candidate will have: Relevant degree level qualifications in business management (desirable but not essential); 10 plus years’ experience within a retail / trade environment of similar size and profit; Authentic and supportive leadership style with a genuine passion for people; Substantial store leadership experience with strong strategy development and execution, a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on customer engagement and service excellence; Strong computer literacy, analytical skills and financial acumen to drive results.
