General Manager – Strategy, Operations, and Governance (SOG) Location: Brisbane Classification: SO Status: Permanent Flexible Full-Time About EWOQ: The Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland (EWOQ) is an independent statutory authority dedicated to resolving disputes between Queensland’s electricity and gas suppliers and South East Queensland’s water suppliers and their customers. EWOQ is committed to providing a service that is free, fair, and impartial. The Role: As the General Manager - SOG, you’ll be a key player in the executive management team, influencing strategic decisions and leading critical operations across the organisation. You will provide authoritative advice and leadership, managing relationships, driving innovative projects, and ensuring compliance with governance and risk management frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage strategic projects and initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders. Lead a diverse team to deliver on strategic goals and operational excellence. Ensure effective management across ICT, finance, operations, policy, research, reporting, and analytics. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.
