Executive opportunity with Australia's largest rural water corporation Support regional prosperity in the biggest food bowl in Victoria Join a high performing organisation driving customer value Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW), Australia's largest rural water corporation, plays a pivotal role in the storage, management and delivery of water across most of northern Victoria. As the General Manager Water Storage Services, reporting to the Managing Director, you will have responsibility for leading efficient and affordable water harvesting and storage services, including non-regulated services to a diverse customer base. This position presents a unique opportunity to lead a substantial operation, encompassing 23 water storages, including the two largest dams in Victoria and over 100,000 hectares of public land surrounding the storages. The GM Water Storage Services will make long-term, strategic and sustainable decisions that prioritise efficiency, financial stability, and asset management. A focus of the role will be on achieving improved outcomes for the organisation by enhancing operational efficiency through technological innovations and optimising productivity. Importantly, your strong operational leadership experience, together with your comprehensive understanding of the regulatory and commercial aspects of managing high risk assets, will enable you to succeed in this role. Your experience leading geographically dispersed workforces, as well as the ability to think strategically, identify emerging issues, problem solve and apply innovative solutions, will enable you to support the organisation's strategic outcomes. Strong safety and risk management skills, along with emergency response and preparedness experience, will enable you to add value to the business.
