About the role The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and drive the growth of the Workforce Australia (WFA) Program Contracts, ensuring the achievement of key performance objectives while fostering strong participant and staff engagement. This role requires full compliance with the Workforce Australia Licenses & Contracts, Program Guidelines, and all relevant accreditation standards. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in advocating for reforms within WFA employment services and contributing insights to the Disability Employment Services (DES) reforms, ensuring these perspectives inform MatchWorks' strategic positioning. Additionally, the role is responsible for developing and enhancing service alignment strategies, positioning MatchWorks for sustained growth and success within the evolving employment services landscape. About You To be considered for this opportunity you must have: In-depth current knowledge of Workforce Australia Provider Services, Employability Skills Programs, and relevant guidelines. Proven experience leading highly successful teams in competitive environments to achieve employment and training outcomes for individuals facing employment barriers within labour market programs or related sectors. Ability to manage multiple projects, including piloting new initiatives. Understanding of participant demographics and ability to develop inclusive, best-practice service models. Experience navigating evolving Performance Frameworks and advocating with Government on changes. Demonstrated leadership and change management skills. Why us?
