Job Description

We are looking for psychologists (clinical, generalist, and registrar). This is a 2–3-day position (contractor preferred) with a highly competitive fee split or an attractive negotiable salary. We are keen to shape a role around your clinical goals and career progression pathways. - Attractive 60-65% fee split (contractor), or an attractive negotiable salary up to $120,000 (pro rata) for employee. PsychService is leading the way in assessment and psychological therapy across the lifespan. We are a neuro-affirming practice and have two clinics located in Kew and Dandenong. We are a group-based practice composing of 5 clinicians, a practice manager, and administrative assistants. The Dandenong clinic is part of a wider team including a team of doctors, nurses, and a dietician. We see a cross-section of clinical disorders including but not limited to eating disorders and functional gut disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and depression, grief, neurodiverse clients, and trauma. There is a bus stop out the front of both locations and a tram stop in front of the Kew clinic. Opportunity to work with individuals and groups, couple therapy and family therapy, children, adolescents, and adults. $1500 Professional Development budget. Professional development in-house workshops, for example CBT, ACT, REBT, MANTRA, DBT (Youth and adult), Hypnotherapy, positive behaviour support plans, social skills training for children and adults and more. You will also be fully supported to further develop your skills in conducting diagnostic assessments for a range of diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, SLD, ID, Personality Disorders, psychosocial disabilities, and Mood disorders. Quarterly team building activities and social functions. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct a range of psychological assessments such as, but not limited to, autism, ADHD, SLD, intellectual disability, personality disorders, and mood disorders. Carry out psychological treatments using evidence-based interventions. Report writing and GP feedback letters (letters are dictated and transcribed using AI software). Deliver group and individual interventions (groups are co-facilitated with Dr. Tania Pietrzak). Good client retention with use of feedback tools. Work with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, adults, parents, couples, and families (your choice based on your area of competency or opportunity to grow and extend your professional area of expertise). About You: General Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, Registrar or Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist, Educational and Developmental Psychologist, or Counselling Psychologist with AHPRA. Eligibility for provider registration with Medicare. Current Working with Children Check and Police Check or willing to obtain. Current ABN number and professional indemnity insurance if you are a contractor. Familiarity with delivering online treatment. Experience with delivery of some of the following CBT, REBT, ACT, DBT, behavioural interventions, CBT-E, MANTRA, Family Based Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, social skills (preferred – training provided). Great report writing and case formulation skills. Passionate about improving and supporting the mental health of the community and the client's well-being and life satisfaction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent clinical, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. Strong commitment to ongoing professional development. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Private practice experience is preferred. Experience in working with neurodivergent, disability and NDIS clients as well as associated stakeholders (preferred). #J-18808-Ljbffr
