Permanent Position Full time (80 hours per fortnight with Accrued Day Off) Allied Health Assistant – Grade 3 (IN30) The Alfred, Emergency Department & General Medicine Hospital In The Home (HITH) Great staff benefits! The Department Alfred Health provides acute clinical care to patients on the acute wards and the Allied Health team includes both Allied Health Practitioners and Allied Health Assistants. The Role The Allied Health Assistant works closely with the ED and General Medical HITH multidisciplinary allied health teams to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each patient’s identified therapeutic and discharge goals. The position is responsible for implementing individual interventions and therapy programs, as delegated by the treating therapists. The AHA will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide services that may include sourcing practical advice and providing support to patients and families to complete applications for services and benefits. The AHA will also be responsible for administrative and clinical support functions, which assist with patient management and contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the ward. The position may include some work across the inpatient wards at Alfred Health. It is a condition of employment that individuals may be required to work across all Alfred Health sites and services, including weekend and Public Holiday shifts as rostered.
