Permanent position Full time (80 hours per fortnight) Medical Imaging Technology Grade 3 Year 1-4 (AT6-AT9) Located at The Alfred Health - Alfred Radiology Great staff benefits! The Role The Grade 3 General Radiographer is a leadership role working with and at the direction of the Grade 4 General Supervisor. The successful candidate will rotate through all aspects of general x-ray including inpatients, outpatient, emergency, theatre, and mobile radiography. There is a requirement to participate in after-hours shift and on-call services due to the department’s 24-hour operation. Your role would be to provide supervision and leadership across general x-ray services by: Facilitating daily operations Providing training, feedback, and support to staff Communicating effectively and respectfully Promoting a culture of safety Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Participating in quality improvement and change projects Participating fully in clinical work to provide the best possible radiographic examinations ensuring patient comfort, welfare, and safety in accordance with departmental protocols, ethics, and code of conduct Other duties as required by the Grade 4 General Supervisor and/or Chief Radiographer Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations or equivalent Eligibility for A.S.M.I.R.T. Statement of Compliance National Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist Victorian Department of Health Use Licence Evidence of CPD in line with registration requirements Excellent communication skills Team worker Staff Benefits Alfred Radiology values education and professional development and utilises modern technologies across all modalities to imaging challenging patients.
