Graduate Civil Engineer – Fixed Term Contract x 2 – Full time Salary: $74,788 - $87,681 per annum Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply) Fixed Term five (5) year contract Ref No: 24-078 The City of Joondalup has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join Infrastructure Management services on a fixed term five (5) year contract. This position will provide an engineer exposure to a wide variety of engineering functions and requirements by the City. The position participates in key engineering projects in different fields to broaden engineering knowledge and skills. Graduates will rotate periodically through specialist engineering service and skill areas contributing to projects as required in line with your skills, knowledge and experience. You will contribute to your development and professional growth by proactively identifying and seeking out appropriate learning and development needs and practical opportunities. Successful applicants will be required to hold the following: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering majoring in Civil/Structural, completed within the last two years or will be completed in the next year, or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia. Hold a Permanent Residency visa or Australian citizenship. Communication Skills: Demonstrated experience explaining technical concepts to various audiences. Time Management and Problem-Solving: Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines while solving engineering challenges and conducting thorough research. Data Analysis: Interpret statistical data to identify patterns and trends, applying findings to engineering designs and project decisions. Engineering Software Proficiency: Skills in 12D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office for design, drafting, and documentation. Civil Engineering and Project Management Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles.
