Job Description Your New Role An average week for a Graduate Cyber Security Engineer could include a wide range of activities including: Working with a variety of stakeholders to develop an understanding of the cyber operating environment for Federal Government, Defence and National Security Agencies. Undertaking analysis on client networks and endpoints for security events/alerts for active threats, intrusions and/or compromises. Performing security operations work involving the Security Information and Event Management tool, network intrusion systems and Host based Intrusion Prevention tools (AV, HIPS, Application Whitelisting). Monitoring and assessing emerging threats and vulnerabilities to the environment and ensuring those requiring action are addressed. Security Incident Management, advice and education and maintaining the currency and health of the deployed security tools. Providing technical administration support for the security suite of software and hardware. Contractual and stakeholder reporting. Reviewing, documenting and improving processes to contribute to the overall security of the environment. Graduates will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge specific to this role, to ensure they are able to contribute and reach their highest potential. Qualifications About You and What You'll Bring This role is ideal for someone who is completing or has recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline: Bachelor of Computer Science Bachelor of Software Engineering Bachelor of Cyber Security Bachelor of Cyber Operations Bachelor of Information Technology Along with your education and any practical experience, Leidos values individuals who use their initiative and seek to understand the business and develop relationships based on respect.
