Share: Contract Hours: Full Time or Permanent Part Time - Negotiable Remuneration/ Pay rate: $74K Package based on Full Time Position Location: Surry Hills, Sydney Details The applicants must: have completed an Engineers Australia recognised Engineering Degree in a local University; be willing to undertake further post graduate education in the field of performance based fire safety and risk engineering at an Australian University; demonstrate a high standard of written English and report writing skills; and a good comprehension of basic mathematical and scientific concepts. The successful applicants will be provided with in-house training and mentoring. Eventually, the graduate engineer position duties will include but not be limited to the following: Assisting senior engineering staff in the preparation of consultancy reports and tender submissions. Assisting senior engineering staff in conducting fire safety risk engineering assessments for projects of varying size and scale and building classifications. Undertaking qualitative and quantitative fire engineering analysis which also includes computer aided fire and evacuation modelling simulations. Development of engineering consultancy reports including Fire Engineering Briefs and Fire Engineering Reports. Preparation of project quotations, tendering and other documentation as required by clients and project stakeholders. Undertaking site inspections and fire safety engineering auditing for existing buildings and project construction staging prior to occupation. Assisting the directors and Senior Staff/Management with project communications with clients, industry professionals and relevant authorities. Interpreting architectural drawings, project briefs and engineering documentation and specifications in accordance with building code requirements. Assisting in client presentations and presenting fire safety engineering performance solutions to approving authorities (locally and overseas).
