About the Role As a Health, Hygiene or Safety Graduate, you will become one of the valuable health and safety champions at our mine sites. As Glencore is committed to keeping our workplace safe with zero harm, you will play an important role in assisting line management to identify, develop, coordinate and implement safety and health initiatives management systems and strategy. From day one, you will collaborate in an experienced team to identify, assess, control and monitor hazards that may affect the health and safety of workers. This may include participation in risk assessments, exposure monitoring, incident investigations, workplace inspections, and injury management and review. Depending on your career aspirations and opportunities available, you may become a Safety and Health Advisor, Risk and Compliance Officer, Occupational Hygienist, or Health and Injury Management Coordinator. You will be involved in managing a diverse range of health, hygiene and safety issues in underground and open-cut metalliferous mining, processing, smelting and associated operations. Depending on your discipline, you may assist in the development and facilitation of programs, undertake workplace assessments, complete compliance reporting and provide advice to operational management on improvement opportunities. You will be liaising and communicating across multiple levels of the workforce, management, regulatory bodies, medical and health providers in these exciting and important graduate positions.
