About the Role As a Graduate Mental Health AOD Support Worker, you will learn and grow alongside experienced mentors, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This four-day-a-week contract role is designed to help you develop essential skills while building your knowledge in mental health and AOD support. If you’re passionate about making a difference and eager to learn, we invite you to take the first step in your career with us.The role entails: Attend training 1 day per week to build knowledge in mental health, AOD, and support strategies. Learn how to complete Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) processes to determine the appropriate level of care for each consumer. Assist to support consumers by learning & developing tailored plans, coordinating referrals, and assisting with care navigation and discharge planning. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to case reviews, and build connections with local service providers to enhance consumer support. Build expertise in systems, documentation, risk management, client engagement, and support strategies. It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence. In addition it is a requirement to have had a minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and obtain an influenza vaccination on an annual basis.
