We celebrate a ‘One Team Culture’, where bringing together diversity of thought and expression is key to building the best team to deliver excellent results.SLR has a great opportunity within the Brisbane office for an ambitious Graduate to join our high performing and friendly Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials (OHHM) team as a HAZMAT Consultant. This is a full-time position where you will be working with a great local team as well as collaborating with a wider team in other locations throughout Australia. We are open to both graduate level candidates and consultants with experience in the space to learn from our team. Key Responsibilities Working alongside industry leaders in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing technical advice on Hazardous Materials and Occupational Hygiene issues. Conducting Asbestos/HAZMAT Surveys and removal. Asbestos airborne fibre monitoring & fibre counting. Asbestos Bulk Sample Identification. Preparation of Technical Reports. Regional travel will be required. Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you ideally will have: Qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related field is advantageous, but not essential. Hazmat industry experience or exposure through study. Valid driver's licence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia. A keen interest in OHHM and a drive to continue ongoing learning and development where SLR will support training to support your progression.
