About the Role As a Graduate Software / Computer Systems Engineer, you’ll be offered a permanent role and get the opportunity to apply what you’ve studied – working in the field solving real-world challenges that span and extend beyond your discipline. You will have the opportunity to gain valued experience in engineering design, reliability and project management rotating throughout the different working areas. The Engineering teams have a strong working relationship with the mining assets and life cycle management team. There is a strong focus on the operational technology that supports our business and delivering efficient, effective solutions. Whether it is working on wireless networking underground, new hypervisor installations, or assisting with projects in the Coal Handling preparation plants, your exposure to the full range of operational technology projects is unprecedented. A typical day will involve working under the guidance of an experienced team, assisting with designing, developing, supporting the installation, operations, and maintenance of operational technology systems for both open cut and underground mining operations. You will be placed on a rotational program to experience multiple sites, fast tracking your knowledge of our business and the industry. In addition, you will also be provided with opportunities to work on electrical systems used for computing, communications, and other industrial applications.
