Job Description

Your career adventure starts here We believe your career should be a rewarding adventure. Whether you're passionate about making an impact in your community, shaping a sustainable future, or collaborating with engineers and advisors across Asia Pacific, our award-winning Graduate Programme offers you the opportunity to discover, grow, and succeed. This opportunity is available within our Brisbane-based Ports Marine & Coastal team. To learn more about our teams, please refer to our Teams & Degree Matrix . What’s it like to be an Aureconeer? As a Structural Engineer in our Ports Marine & Coastal team at Aurecon, you’ll work on complex, impactful projects and be part of a team that embraces challenge, change, and growth. One of the most rewarding aspects of working within this team is the incredible variety of challenges our coastal environment presents to the structures embedded within it. Although no two projects are alike, our engineers consistently tackle a diverse range of exciting challenges, including: Determination of loading on coastal and marine structures often considering wave impacts, cyclonic wind gusts, and vessel berthing actions. Involvement throughout the entire lifespan of projects from conceptual planning stages to detailed design, throughout construction, and onto the continual management and improvement of assets. Designing and analysing a wide variety of steel, concrete, and timber structures including offshore materials handling berths, passenger transport terminals, marine precincts, and redevelopments to name a few. Using a range of design codes and analytical methods to achieve the best design solutions possible, including the development and use of tools based on emerging technologies such as AI. Working alongside clients to identify and tackle the challenges posed by our ever-changing environment in the face of climate change and rising sea levels. Planning and supervising the real-world implementation of projects, considering transport options, installation challenges, and real-world aspects. Feasibility and planning services looking at the next generation of marine projects including offshore wind, green hydrogen facilities, and maritime defence projects. Here’s a glimpse of your adventure: Real-world projects: Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of projects that make a tangible impact on communities and the environment. Making a difference: Create positive change through community partnerships and volunteer Handprint Days. Climbing new heights: Access interactive learning and mentoring that will shape you into a well-rounded engineer and leader. A network of explorers: Join Limelight , our Early Careers Network, where you’ll connect with peers and senior professionals, share experiences, and collaborate on innovative solutions. Flexibility on your journey: Our hybrid working model lets you balance work, life, and the adventure that comes with both. What you’ll bring to navigate the adventure As you take your first steps into your career adventure, we’re looking for those who are eager to grow, collaborate, and bring fresh thinking to the table. You’ll come with: A relevant degree (or expected completion) in Structural Engineering or a related double degree. A thirst for learning, growth, and new experiences. How will your adventure be shaped by us?
