Join a leading organization in the racing industry, playing a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the racecourse. This role offers a chance to lead a team, manage high-quality turf, and contribute to exciting race day preparations. Key Responsibilities Prepare facilities, amenities, and grounds for race days. Maintain and manage premium turf for racing events. Oversee projects related to tracks and racing facilities. Collaborate with industry officials, trainers, and contractors. Develop and execute annual maintenance plans for turf, gardens, and machinery. Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality. Operate and manage irrigation systems, machinery, and maintenance schedules. About You Formal qualifications in horticulture or turf management (highly regarded). Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and manage teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in the racing industry (preferred but not essential). Certification in chemical storage, handling, and application. Extensive experience in irrigation system management. Current First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License, and thorough OH&S knowledge. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as per race schedules.
