$121,315.89 plus 11.5% superannuation Monthly RDO Growth Development Consultant The Growth and Development team is seeking a Growth Development Consultant to work in the Growth Analytics and Strategic Partnerships team. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in growth planning impacting Sydney now and into the future, such as the National Housing Accord, Transport Oriented (TOD) and new greenfield developments. About the Role: The role is positioned to support the NSW Governments Housing Targets and growth development across Greater Sydney and the Illawarra by providing a successful case management service for statutory referrals including planning instruments, planning proposals, development applications, and state significant development and infrastructure applications. You will support the delivery of Statutory Referral responses and associated process improvements, to support the NSW governments’ targets for both dwelling and employment opportunities across greater Sydney while ensuring relevant intel from these referrals informs both the Sydney Water planning and capital delivery programmes and facilitates ongoing early engagement and collaboration with NSW Planning bodies. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Sydney Waters referral databases, including their interaction with the NSW Planning portal to track and respond to all development referrals within the mandated timeframes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure robust responses and next steps are generated and followed up. Provide advice on the NSW statutory referral process and upcoming initiatives. Support and participate in the development of stakeholder networks with NSW Planning agencies to improve data sharing, problem solving and increased collaboration. Lead SW responses to planning proposals, DAs, SSDAs, LEPs, DCPs, infrastructure plans, land-use plans that drive growth and may affect services to our customers. Support the preparation of geographical development trend updates to provide a common platform for planning decisions. Support the wider Growth Analytics teams via the production of public-facing documents such as the Growth Servicing Plan and other improvement projects. Who are we looking for? Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. urban planning is preferred), social sciences, economics, business, geography, or other relevant fields or experience deemed relevant. Experience in urban planning, water services planning, development servicing or other relevant industry experience. Knowledge of the NSW planning processes and development servicing. Demonstrated experience in effective communication, including the preparation of written and graphical presentations using databases, analysis and other tools. Experience in engaging in stakeholder relationships and interfaces involving internal and external parties. Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver business outcomes.
