Job Description

The Growth and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for driving customer acquisitions through direct sales and channel partnerships. This includes identifying, engaging, and managing channel partners to promote and sell our software solutions, facilitating introductions, and following up on direct sales enquiries. The role involves designing partnership programs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring engagements are mutually beneficial. Additionally, the role includes managing direct sales activities, such as preparing proposals, facilitating meetings for the executive team, and overseeing the execution of direct sale agreements. This role is critical to shaping the company's growth strategy, working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and executive teams to identify opportunities, manage risks, and implement successful go-to-market strategies. Key Responsibilities: Partnership Development: Identify and engage potential channel partners who align with business objectives. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners. Design and implement partnership agreements and engagement models that are mutually beneficial. Ensure successful onboarding and ongoing support for channel partners to achieve shared goals. Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of partnership agreements, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalise contracts and manage ongoing contractual relationships. Monitor and address contractual obligations, ensuring compliance and long-term value. Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets via both partnerships and direct sales. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with the CEO and Account Manager. Manage and maintain the sales pipeline, including tracking leads, opportunities, and revenue forecasts. Map competitor landscapes, market trends, and revenue models to inform strategic decisions. Conduct industry research to identify opportunities and threats, enabling proactive strategies. Assist the executive team in mapping and executing a vision roadmap, particularly around integration strategies that unlock new opportunities. Collaboration and Communication: Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute joint marketing initiatives with channel partners. Coordinate with the product team to incorporate partner and customer feedback into the product development lifecycle. Provide detailed performance updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities. Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnerships and sales initiatives. Continuously evaluate and refine engagement strategies to maximise partner performance and satisfaction. Prepare and present reports summarising key insights, trends, and progress. Qualifications and Experience: A bachelor's degree in commerce, or a related field, OR significant industry experience in partnership management or business development. Proven experience in partnership development, sales, or business development, ideally within the software or technology sector. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully negotiating and managing contracts. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated strategic thinking skills and the ability to identify and act on new opportunities. Experience in managing and executing direct sales strategies is highly desirable. Familiarity with software solutions and a strong understanding of the technology landscape. Transport or Supply chain industry experience preferable.
