Your New Role The APS5 Guidance Officer, under limited supervision, handles moderately complex tasks guided by legislation and policies. This role involves administrative tasks and significant stakeholder interaction to provide advice and resolve enquiries, supporting their mission. Interpret policy and legislation into clear and concise guidelines. Draft and update written materials. Provide procedural guidance and technical expertise. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve program and business outcomes. Research and develop guidance material. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Work 3 out of 5 days in the office, with flexible work arrangements available. The APS6 Guidance lead has reasonable autonomy and is accountable for making sound judgement to interpret legislation and policies, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes and support branch objectives. Further you will be tasked with: Leading a portfolio of work in line with organisational objectives. Provide technical and operational support to provide advice in relation to complex problems. Coordinate and support strategic planning, program and project management and policy development in line with organisational objectives. What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record of the following skills & attributes: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines. Prior experience in Federal Government. Ability to hit the ground running. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high work standards and accuracy. Experience in multidisciplinary teams. Understanding of Microsoft suite (Jira experience would also be desirable) Keen awareness of disability.
