Job Description

Head of Junior School Sport & PE Teacher – Full-time At Kingswood College, we believe in emboldening hearts and inspiring minds. Our Role We are excited to offer a full-time Head of Junior School Sport & PE Teacher role beginning Term 2, 2025, working in our vibrant, rigorous and collaborative Junior School. This is a fixed term full time from Term 2 to the end of Term 4 2025, with the possibility of becoming an ongoing role from the beginning of 2026. Responsibilities include: Deliver outstanding teaching that supports strong student learning outcomes across a variety of ability levels Plan and execute a consistent, clear, and sequential educational program that challenges all students and builds upon prior knowledge Actively contribute to the Blackburn District Primary School Sport Association (BDPSSA) Plan and implement JS House carnivals and sporting events Effectively use technology to enhance learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents Champion differentiated instruction in both class, grade, and multi-age settings, ensuring all students are supported and challenged Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents, fostering an environment conducive to learning and enthusiasm Engage with passion in all areas of Kingswood College life Uphold the values and vision of Kingswood College, contributing positively to our community Successful applicants will: Hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification, along with relevant teaching experience Demonstrate a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their academic and social development Possess strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands and timelines effectively Exhibit a collaborative, team-oriented approach with a growth mindset and willingness to engage in continuous professional development Have excellent curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and numeracy, and a commitment to implementing best practices How to Apply Please submit your application, including a cover letter and current CV (summarising your experience and qualifications), in one single PDF to Closing date : 28 February 2025.
