We are seeking an HR & People Manager to oversee the daily people operations across our Unley and Semaphore locations . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment , enjoys building strong relationships , and is confident in handling all aspects of team management—from recruitment and onboarding to staff engagement and scheduling. About the Role As the HR & People Manager , you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our spa’s positive and supportive work culture. Reporting directly to Sharon Templeton (Owner) , you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, fostering staff development, and managing essential HR functions without excessive bureaucracy. This role is not about corporate policies and procedures—it’s about people, leadership, and ensuring our team is supported and empowered to perform at their best. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding – Managing job postings, conducting interviews, and ensuring new team members are integrated seamlessly. Team Engagement & Culture – Organising staff celebrations, team-building activities, and fostering a positive workplace environment. Scheduling & Rosters – Managing staff availability, leave requests, and ensuring fair scheduling to support work-life balance. Training & Performance Management – Supporting upskilling, addressing performance concerns, and ensuring staff maintain high service standards. Payroll & Administration – Communicating with payroll, tracking staff hours, and ensuring compliance with Fair Work standards. Workplace Support & Problem-Solving – Handling staff concerns with professionalism, managing injuries and return-to-work plans, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
