The Application Specialist’s primary responsibility is to develop a deep understanding of the administration and support of Corporate Shared Services Applications, ensuring that all documentation is kept up to date, the maintenance and management of data, and answering any queries relating to these applications from both internal and external stakeholders. Please note, this role is a 12-month contract. About the role: The Application Specialist role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation and administration of People & Culture Applications, providing support to key stakeholders, maintaining compliance, and ensuring process optimisation. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to optimise system functionality and enhance user experience. The key accountabilities and outcomes include: Implementation and Administration Support the implementation and administration of People & Culture and Shared Services Applications, identifying opportunities for process improvement or improved outcomes for the business. Assist in identifying and implementing suitable solutions and enhancements to optimise system functionality. Employee Support Provide level two support to employees on system enquiries and issues. Create and maintain all People & Culture Applications documents (e.g., user guides) and provide HRIS training to the P&C team and broader Corporate Shared Services, ensuring a positive user experience. Record Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining confidentiality and security of employee information. Reporting and Insights Create dashboards and prepare reports and metrics as needed, ensuring necessary system inputs for valuable workforce insights. Reporting will also feed into Power BI. Collaboration and Integration Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new systems. Work closely with the P&C Shared Services Manager to design the People & Culture Application roadmap. System Coordination Be the subject matter expert (SME) accountable for coordinating HRIS upgrade releases (including testing), system-related issues/escalations, and best practices. Submit service requests to Managed Service Providers and Product Vendors when required and manage the resolution. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable. 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar HRIS support role (Oracle experience is preferred). Experience in supporting finance systems and applications. Prior experience in implementing end-to-end corporate systems and applications. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
