This role will be based in our Forrestfield Branch in Perth. CJD is a national-wide company, with 24 branches across Australia. Reporting to the National HSE Team Leader, the HSE Coordinator will travel and provide support to our branches in Western Australia (Perth & Regional) and the Northern Territory. A strong passion for safety is essential for this role, as it directly contributes to the well-being of both the company and our employees. As a HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in fostering a safety-first culture by developing and implementing effective safety practices, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards. Your dedication to safety will help minimise risks, reduce accidents, and protect our team members from harm. This role has a significant impact on the company's overall safety performance, ensuring a safer work environment and promoting the health and safety of everyone involved. By driving continuous improvements, you'll make a lasting difference in creating a safer workplace for all. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist and contribute to maintaining and developing the HSE Management Systems. Carry out assessments for risks related to HSE. Collect and investigate safety and environmental statistics and information. Assist and contribute to training and competencies for staff in HSE procedures and systems. Create structured programs to educate and support our team members to consistently get HSE right. Work with the HSE Team Leader to maintain and foster relationships with state and branch management on HSE obligations. Collect, collate, analyse and communicate key performance measures and improvements to all staff. Requirements to be successful in the role: Tertiary qualifications or a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation and regulations across the states and territories of Australia. Ability to travel to other branches as required. Strong understanding of HSE practices and procedures. Previous experience in a similar HSE role. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screening. What’s in it for you?
