Applications Close: 31/03/2025Position No: RHSE-HSE-HE1Work Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: Perth Metropolitan RCR Mining Technologies is looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Superintendent to join our team at the Welshpool Workshop. In this crucial role, you will provide expert advice on safety initiatives, legislative requirements, incident investigations, and help manage safety systems to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with RCR’s corporate policies and certified management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001. Provide comprehensive HSE reporting for financial, safety, and quality metrics aligned with business and budgeting requirements. Offer expert advice on safety initiatives, legislative compliance, and incident management to various management teams. Lead or assist in risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with leadership to plan, implement, and execute safety management programs. Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Track and manage LEAD and LAG safety performance indicators across the business. Promote workforce engagement in RCR’s safety and wellbeing programs. Develop and enforce health and safety plans, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with legal guidelines. Manage workplace injuries, ensuring prompt care and effective outcomes for injured employees. Develop and deliver company-specific training programs, conduct training gap analyses, and address operational requirements. Mentor and support the development of HSE Advisors by reviewing team performance. Perform additional duties as directed, within skill and qualification levels. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role within a similar industry. Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent). Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID003). ICAM investigation qualification. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and develop talent within the business. In-depth knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, industry best practices, and risk management processes. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project. Demonstrated experience in developing policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
