Job Description
This position will be responsible for providing on the ground support and coordination of safety practices, systems and procedures to our Projects across the region while closely working with Senior Management to drive our safety, environment and quality culture. The successful candidate will be pro-active with a keen eye for detail. The role responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Work with management to help implement HSEQ strategies and contribute to the integration and co-ordination of all HSEQ activities. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Project Management Plans. Monitor compliance with all statutory, regulatory, contractual and standards requirements. Identify hazards and incidents, ensuring they are reported on, investigated and closed out in accordance with the IMS requirements. Support management and site team members on effective risk controls and all risk assessment processes. Provide induction and other training of new employees and subcontractors. Skills and experience Candidate must have a Certificate IV in WHS, or the ability to obtain the Certificate IV in WHS within 6 months of commencement of the role Current Drivers Licence A strong understanding of HS&E legislative requirements Ability to engage at all levels of an organisation General Construction Blue/White Card An intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
