The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Protection Testing Officer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of Consolidated Power Projects customers high-voltage electrical assets. This hands-on role involves the testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of secondary system protection relays, control systems, and primary network infrastructure. We offer an environment where you can truly make an impact, develop your skills, and provide preventative maintenance services to some of the most critical and high-profile sites currently in the industry. What You’ll Be Doing: Provide primary and secondary injection testing and maintenance services on a wide variety of electrical protection and control relays and equipment Analyse and troubleshoot protection system faults and malfunctions and provide recommended corrective actions. Knowledge of HV/LV transformer testing, including Tan Delta, Turns Ratio, SFRA, Dirana, Voltage Ratio, Winding Resistance, and Oil Sampling. Support the completion of documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance with project and safety standards. Assist in the training and development of team members, fostering continuous improvement. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working with high-voltage equipment to ensure a safe working environment. About You You’ll need to bring: Proficiency in tools like Omicron CMC356 , CPC100 , and relay software. Strong experience in reading and interpreting design documentation , including construction drawings, design reports, schematics, settings reports, and maintenance instructions. A sound understanding of engineering standards, compliance, and regulations related to secondary systems. A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. Willingness to travel to various sites but with a great balance of time spent at home. Strong understanding of protection schemes to create secondary isolation records Ability to interpret protection relay settings to create test plans using Omicron Test Universe Why Join Us?
