Job Responsibilities: Cut, trim, color, and shape hair or hairpieces based on customers' instructions, hair type, and facial features using clippers, scissors, trimmers, razors, and various professional color brands. Condition, shampoo, bleach, and work with chemical solutions for permanent and keratin straightening. Perform services including haircuts, shaving, coloring, shampooing, and trimming beards and mustaches as per the latest trends and styles. Design traditional and contemporary hairstyles. Analyze clients’ hair and other physical features to recommend hair treatments or suggest hairstyles. Listen to clients' requests and help them understand the right style for their hair. Offer a catalogue to clients showing different hairstyles to gauge their taste. Train other staff members regarding hair products and assist juniors/assistants in advancing their hairdressing careers. Schedule client appointments. Update and maintain customer information records, including hair services provided. Work under the supervision of management and assist with phone calls and staff duties. Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons. Demonstrate and sell hair care products, upselling salon products and services to meet and exceed sales targets. Develop new styles and techniques with ongoing training. Handle salon clients with care, developing good relationships, greeting, and welcoming customers into the waiting area, serving complimentary coffee and tea, and taking coats. Keep the salon and equipment safe and clean. Educate clients on products which could lead to sales and client satisfaction. Engage in flyer distribution and promotional work to increase clientele and promote re-booking and loyalty among clients. Minimum Requirements: Skills, Education, and Experience: Education: Certificate III + 2 years on-the-job training or Certificate IV. Australian Experience: At least 3+ years of Australian experience OR Overseas Experience: At least 3+ years of overseas experience. Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder. #J-18808-Ljbffr
