Immersive Technologies is a global leader in simulator-based training in the Mining and Resources Industry. Our products are all designed and manufactured right here in Perth, with a large portion of the parts made in-house, from scratch. We are the largest manufacturer of Mining Simulators worldwide and currently export to over 50 countries. With over 300 employees globally manufacturing, promoting, supporting, and distributing our products, none of this would be possible without the contribution of our Engineering Design Team, operating at the forefront and central to the success of our core products. Based in Malaga, our solar-powered Production Facility boasts large, safe, tailored functional layouts and modern facilities. Reporting to a Team Lead, along with a team of Mechanical Engineers, this position supports both the Production and Engineering Departments. Therefore, a strong desire to engage and take ownership of assigned tasks, and work collaboratively in areas outside of Hardware Support, is important. Some of the contributions you'd be making include: Creating High Quality 3D Models, Drawings, BOMs and Cutting Lists for various simulator products. Producing drawing packs for production. Generating Water Cutting & Press Brake programs. Collaborating across Electronics, Fabrication and CNC Teams to provide Mechanical design guidance. Supporting field teams through design updates and technical instructions. We're looking for skills / experience in the areas of: Mechanical Design (within a Manufacturing environment - Sheet Metal, CNC Machines - would be a bonus). Drafting processes and engineering drawing control. Reverse engineering of existing products and parts to suit a new purpose. SolidWorks (or similar) 3D parametric modelling. Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to brainstorm great outcomes. Applying a strong eye for detail to produce high-quality work. Applying a strong safety mindset in an operational environment. Why Immersive?
