Traverse Alpine Group is excited to announce an opportunity for a Head Chef specializing in South East Asian and Japanese Cuisine to join our dynamic team. Renowned for delivering exemplary hospitality experiences in Falls Creek and Bright, the right candidate will have a passion for innovative and authentic culinary creations. As the Head Chef, you will lead our kitchen team in producing high-quality dishes that resonate with all guests. With an emphasis on freshness, creativity, and presentation, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our restaurant's reputation. Responsibilities Create diverse and tantalizing menus focused on South East Asian and Japanese culinary traditions. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production processes that meet the highest standards. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-energy environment. Implement and maintain food safety and cleanliness standards in compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor food cost and budgets while mitigating waste and enhancing profitability. Engage with guests to gather feedback and adapt the culinary offerings to enhance the dining experience. Work closely with the management team to develop food-related events that promote the restaurant and the Traverse Alpine Group brand. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in a senior chef position, with a focus on South East Asian and Japanese cuisine. Proven ability to create innovative menus and transform ideas into culinary masterpieces. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing diverse kitchen teams. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with staff and customers. Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations. Culinary arts degree or equivalent certification. A passion for food, dining, and a strong desire to create memorable culinary experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
