The opportunity: The Zone Head Coach is a service focused people manager position and is responsible for the overall programming and delivery of The Zone small group training through the management, training and leadership of the Fitness Team. The Zone Head Coach achieves results by creating a positive member experience through the delivery and optimisation of quality small group training sessions executed by the Fitness Team. This exciting opportunity is in a fast–paced club environment where our classes run at peak times – morning, afternoon and evening. Key responsibilities: Design and implement fitness programs for the core Zone class formats, in line with best practice fitness program design. Provide leadership, development and guidance to all Team Training Coaches via one-on-one feedback and quarterly skills workshops. Pro-actively recruit, train and retain your team of Team Training Coaches. Support the Club Manager to achieve overall club initiatives and work with the wider club team to ensure smooth running of all fitness processes. Manage all class timetabling and rostering that meets the needs of members and has optimal usage of Team Training Coaches and floor space. Lead by example by delivering exceptional service, through class facilitation. Continually review the quality and delivery of all programs and implement systems to develop and improve the performance of the club and the member experience. To be successful in this role you will need: 3+ years experience as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor in a high volume club environment. Certificate 4 in fitness minimum and degree in Human Movement is desirable. Proven experience within the fitness industry as a Fitness Head of Department. First Aid and CPR Certificates. Experience teaching group fitness either in a studio or small group format. Experience in managing small teams is desirable. Demonstrated good time management in a fast pace working environment.
