The company, situated on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland) of Australia, is looking for a Head Grower to oversee the construction of a 12-hectare high-tech greenhouse for strawberry production. The Head Grower will be involved in the planning phase starting around January 2024 and must relocate to Australia by the end of 2024. The planting period is scheduled for June 2025. The Head Grower will lead a team of Assistant Growers, reporting directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities include supervising all stages of fruit production from planting to harvesting, managing technical procedures, and ensuring optimal yield. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a strawberry grower in a high-tech controlled climate, proficient in plant growth, physiology, and environmental interactions. Familiarity with Priva software and horticultural terminology is required. Strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork are essential. Fluency in English, both written and oral, is a must. The Head Grower must be willing to live and work in Australia full-time, with accommodation provided by the company.
