About TEG Commercial team The Team behind TEG's Commercial department is responsible for connecting people and brands to the power of live entertainment by creating unforgettable hospitality and unique experiences. TEG's Commercial department leads the development and execution of commercial strategies across the business by maximizing and creating opportunities for prospective or ongoing Partners. This Team works to strengthen business alliances, joint ventures, sponsorships, and collaborations through TEG's vast array of live content options, which includes everything from concerts to sport, to festivals, to family entertainment, theatre and beyond. About the Role As the Head of Business Development & Partnerships, you will lead a team of partnership managers, driving the development and sales of sponsorships and media assets across all TEG businesses. This role is pivotal in shaping TEG's commercial strategy and ensuring the continued success of our sponsorship initiatives. Your primary role will be to generate new business and deliver sponsorship revenue to TEG, by securing a range of high-value brand partnerships across TEG’s portfolio of Concert Touring, Sporting Events, Theatre Productions, and Family Experiences. In this role, you will have an individual sales target as well as a team target. Requirements What does a day in the life look like? Secure strategic, high-value partnerships with clients across diverse brand categories, overseeing and meeting all partner expectations throughout the Business Development process. Present compelling and tailored value propositions to potential partners, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership that aligns with both their brand goals and TEG's market standing. Research and develop innovative strategies to seamlessly integrate new brands with TEG’s portfolio of properties, including Concert Touring, Sporting Events, Theatre Productions, Family Experiences, digital and new assets. Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, ensuring mutual value for both TEG and its partners. Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy, identifying new sponsorable properties and growth opportunities. Foster cross-functional collaboration with TEG's promoters, account managers, and other business units to create a seamless commercial ecosystem. Lead the annual planning process for TEG's commercial sponsorship budget and track performance against key metrics. About You: What are we looking for? You are an experienced leader with a proven track record in sponsorship sales and partnership management. Your ability to inspire and guide teams, coupled with your strategic thinking and results-driven approach, makes you an ideal fit for this senior leadership role. Skills & Attributes: A minimum of 7 years' experience in sponsorship and/or media sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven record of achieving targets. Strong network of industry contacts to develop relationships with. Proven track-record in driving incremental results in a very fast-paced environment working with a highly-matrixed internal stakeholder group. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills at an executive level. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the credibility to engage stakeholders across diverse industries. An in-depth understanding of the sports, entertainment, and digital media industries. Proven ability to mentor and develop teams to achieve and exceed targets.
