Head of Department - Information Technology / Business Education - Burnside State High School Education (Organisation site)North Coast Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division Burnside State High School are accepting applications for a passionate and enthusiastic educator to lead the Information Technology/Business Education faculty as Head of Department (Secondary) on a temporary full-time basis, from 22 April 2025 until 27 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.In this role you will lead curriculum in line with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division and develop the quality of teaching and learning. You will achieve this by nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. About the School Burnside State High School is located in the township of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. The main focus of Burnside is relationships. About the Role As the Head of Department - Information Technology/Business Education you will have responsibility for the following: Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups. Be futures oriented and strategic.
