Reporting to the CTO, this role is responsible for the stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless technology experiences for researchers and business partners working on life-changing medical discoveries.As a key technology leader, you will drive innovation, optimise IT operations, and lead a high-performing team to deliver secure, efficient, and user-friendly IT services. If you're passionate about leading IT in a mission-driven organisation, shaping future-ready infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!Your Responsibilities Include Lead the IT teams (infrastructure and Support) and provide support and mentorship including development opportunities Implement operational best practices, processes, and procedures for consistent IT service delivery Manage IT services based on ITIL or other relevant frameworks, ensuring efficient handling of incidents, changes, and service requests Lead and drive IT projects from inception to completion Provide regular reports on IT operational performance, system availability, and risks to senior leadership Act as the primary point of contact for IT operational issues and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution What We Need From You 8+ years of experience in IT operations management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role Deep understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Relevant certifications such as IT Service Management (ITSM, ITILv3+, COBIT), Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are an advantage Understanding of Cloud Service offerings (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Understanding of continuous delivery practices including DevOps, Agile and hybrid project approaches What’s in it for you?
