Head of Medical Department - Hobart - Head Medical The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state of Tasmania, providing all general and specialty medical and surgical services. Our General Medicine department is the largest inpatient department in the hospital, with excellent subspecialty support and opportunities for clinicians to be involved in research, clinical redesign, and quality improvement. Job Description As a Substantive Head of General Medicine, you will contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care, provide professional leadership to medical and allied health staff, and foster interdisciplinary teamwork. You will also be actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as trainee and IMG supervision and mentoring. Key Responsibilities: Oversee departmental areas during night shifts. Assume supervisory responsibilities.
